Thermoelectric Cooler (TEC) is a device that is capable of transferring the heat from hot to cold side effectively by utilizing materials such as antimony and tellurium. During the operation, DC current will flow through the TEC; this will in turn make the heat to be transferred from one side of the TEC to another.
  • High Purity Antimony
    Antimony is found in nature. Its compounds are formed by oxide and sulfides or associating with other metals. Since it is a very brittle material, it is not to be used by itself; instead, it is mixed with other alloys. It is more desirable in the form of oxide, mainly as flame retardant in textiles and plastics. It is produced by distillation process. The purity can reach 99.9% to 99.999%.

  • High Purity Tellurium
    Tellurium is a rare element. It is a by-product of copper or lead metallurgy. We can produce tellurium from copper electrolysis slimes and use it in special technology and advanced facilities. The purity can reach 99.99% to 99.999%.




The efficiency of semiconductor refrigeration depends on temperature difference between the hot and cold side of a thermopile. This temperature difference can be remarkably reduced by the heat loss of the enhanced hot side and by the cold. This dissipation leads to increase in semiconductor refrigeration efficiency. By having the change in temperature as it passes respect to time in a space, it is cooled by the refrigeration process, which is provided by the cold side of a semiconductor. It is known as a law that is tested under the conditions of the natural and forced convection. The experimental results show that forced convection plays a role to increase the refrigeration rate.



Usage Scope
 
The components of TEC are now widely used in military, medical, and experimental devices.

The following is a list of related applications to TEC.
  • Beverage refrigerator, ice box, in-house airplane cooler, and portable refrigerator.
  • Inertia controlling system and infrared controller.
  • Medical devices, such as cuvette (test tube) cooler, blood analyzer, and cold hat.
  • Laboratory and science devices, such as temperature remover, spot revealer, low temperature sink, and naught machine.
