Operating Guide Manual for TEC Components

1. Placement
Gently lift and lay the component and place it at a designated location. Avoid having heavy weight applied on it or dropping the TEC; this may cause some damage to its components.
2. Storage
The ambient temperature for storing the unit should be within the range of -70°C to 90°C
Keep away from the conductive liquor since the component is corrosive. If the insulator's performance is reduced, the whole component will appear to be performing poorly or as a defective part.
3. Proper Way to Use it
 A) Rating Current and Rating Voltage
By applying actual voltage and current lower than the suggested rating voltage and current, this will improve the functionality of the unit and also increase the reliability of the components. The temperature on the hot surface should be less than or equal to 90°C.

The power source ripple modulus should be less than 10%.
 B) Controlling the Temperature
By having a high difference in the change of the temperature on the cold and hot side, this will reduce the reliability and functionality over period of implementation. Therefore, controlling the rate of voltage and current from a power source is constantly needed. Setting a reversed polarity changes the direction of the current flow; this is desirable to increase the reliability and validity over period of usage.
 C) Cooler
The deficiency and decalescence amount of the implementation will have an impact on an amount of the heat that is emanated from the cooler on the heated side, so consider a larger cooling area to support the heated side.
 D) Bearable Pressure
If the pressure load is larger than 10kgf/cm2, it will reduce the working condition of the unit. Keep in mind as you assemble the unit to try to apply appropriate power to make sure the equal pressure is applied on the surface of the component.
4. Wire Connections
When you place the wires, be sure to have the red wire on the right side and black wire on the left side. This red wire has to connect to the anode (-) of the power supply, and the black wire has to connect to the cathode (+).
